About Model Health Inquiry
The British Fashion Council recognized that the health of models on the catwalks of fashion shows around the world has become an emotive issue – giving rise to the “Size Zero” debate. The independent Model Health Inquiry was established to determine the facts and recommend action that should be taken by the British fashion community.
The relationship with Aura Financial
Aura Financial was appointed by Chairperson Baroness Kingsmill before the Inquiry Panel was formed because of previous successful collaboration. We supported the Inquiry Panel throughout the project by identifying issues, creating a strategy and the communications infrastructure, messaging and materials. We provided the international press office function and liaised directly with The British Fashion Council, Government departments, models, designers, and health organizations.
The consultancy challenge
In an emotive international debate there was a need to provide a practical framework for communications which underlined the independence and credibility of the Inquiry in order to accommodate the views of informed stakeholders and clearly articulate the Inquiry’s recommendations.
